Veteran Bollywood actress Padmini Kolhapure, who was one of the leading actresses in the industry, is going to make her debut in Mollywood. The actress had never showed interest in South Indian language films during her younger days in the eighties. However, now she will be seen in director V K Prakash’s upcoming Malayalam film titled Karmayogi.
Padmini has been offered to play a very important role in this new movie starring Indrajith. The actress has got a meaty role and it is reportedly a kind of role which she has never played in her 15-year-long career. The movie is said to be based on the famous Shakespeare’s play ‘Hamlet’. Balram Mattanur has written the script.
The 44-year-old actress had taken a break from acting after tying the knot in the early eighties. Later, she made her comeback to acting in 2004 with Marathi film 'Manthan'. She retired from acting just at the age of 21 years.
Well, we hope her comeback in the entertainment industry rebuilds her filmcareer. The actress was also offered to play the role of Tulsi Virani in Star Plus’ popular show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.
